OHS Compliance for Mauritius Workplaces

Under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of Mauritius (OSHA) and international standards, employers are legally obliged to maintain safe working environments. CIT’s 2-day OHS Workshop equips managers, supervisors, HSE officers and business owners with the knowledge and tools to meet these obligations.

The workshop is available as a corporate group session delivered at your premises, or as an open-enrollment session at our Pamplemousses training centre.

Workshop Modules
01Day 1 Morning: OHS Legislation & Employer Obligations

Overview of the OSHA Mauritius Act, employer and employee rights and duties, regulatory authorities, legal penalties for non-compliance, and reporting obligations.

02Day 1 Afternoon: Workplace Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment

Systematic hazard identification techniques, risk matrix methodology, hierarchy of controls, PPE requirements, and documentation of risk assessments.

03Day 2 Morning: Accident Investigation & Prevention

Root cause analysis, accident reporting procedures, near-miss investigation, implementing corrective actions, and building a safety culture.

04Day 2 Afternoon: Emergency Preparedness & Practical Drills

Emergency response planning, fire safety, first aid basics, evacuation procedures, and practical group exercises. Certificate presentation ceremony.
